Destroying Stress Using Tarot ; Part-(III)

Yesterday we discussed about the Cards of Major Arcana  which are specially related to stress and its management.

Today we will discuss about the Cards of Minor Arcana.

Cards from Minor Arcana

Card 1) 4 of Cups
The Four of Cups often appears when you are bored or dissatisfied with the current scenario. You may be feeling disengaged, apathetic, or unmotivated. Life has become stale or ‘flat’ and there is little that excites you anymore. To overcome this, the Four of Cups suggests a need to re-evaluate your situation and to look deep within your own psyche to find understanding and meaning. Turn your attention inward to find the Truth for which you are searching. Avoid distractions and examine your heart and mind to gain clarity.

Card 2) 5 of Cups
This card shows lack of fulfilment or non-attainment of expected results. You are feeling disappointed that a situation has not turned out as you had hoped, and this leads you to stress.
The Five of Cups suggests that you are having trouble letting go of the past and learning from your mistakes.

Card 3) 8 of Cups
The Eight of Cups also indicates that you are disappointed enough to walk away from everything you have built up so far. It could indicate a disappointment in love or dissatisfaction with material success. It could also indicate that you have over-extended yourself to the point of emotional exhaustion. Even though you have already come so far, you feel that you can no longer go on and your only choice is to walk away from the situation. You feel disappointed with yourself but you know that this is the right thing to do before you completely burn out. You may also be feeling that you are just giving and giving and not getting enough in exchange.

Card 4) 2 of Swords
The Two of Swords is a card of choice and of the difficulty of making a decision. This creates a stress within. The woman in this card is blindfolded, and this may be intentionally so, indicating that she is avoiding making a very difficult decision. Her state of calm and relaxation may be indicative that she is trying to avoid this important decision which would  bring about peace of mind.

Card 5) 4 of Swords

In Upright
The Four of Swords is a reminder that after every crisis and before every new challenge, there is always a time of relaxation and contemplation. Constant stress and tension will break even the hardest and most resilient of people but brief periods of rest enable you to refresh your energy, concentration and focus, so that you are ready for the next challenge.

In Reverse
The Four of Swords reversed can indicate that you are feeling restless and wanting to do everything at once. Even if your body is telling you that you need to rest and relax, your mind is pushing you forward, trying to accomplish a long list of tasks. You may be getting quite sick or stressed as a result, so it is vital that you force yourself to pause and take it easy to ensure that you do not become completely run down and exhausted.

Card 6 ) 9 of Swords

In Reverse
The Nine of Swords is about worry, anxiety and not being able to sleep because your thoughts are running at one hundred miles an hour. Reversed, the Nine of Swords indicates that you are working yourself up and becoming incredibly stressed and anxious when, really, this does not have to be a complicated issue.

I personally find the above cards in tarot deck  when comes in reading it has specifically to do something with your stress which is affecting your day to day actions .

The Tarot readings are beneficial when stressed because it shows  alternative paths that can be taken and they stress action. Action must be taken on the part of the querent to make successful changes. Thinking does not do it alone.I give my clients a writing assignment to do as follow ups. While doing readings for the clients and listening to their issues carefully we ask them to make strategies positively and I help them in making these strategies with the help of Tarot. This is the first step  in them taking positive action.I like to have my clients leave with a strategy to enable them to attempt something new.

Tarot as a tool to empower your choices.
I use the Tarot as a Tool of Empowerment to help people realize that they can seek out alternatives and accept responsibility for their thoughts, feelings and actions. Empower means to give power or authority to enable or permit. When you are empowered you eliminate the self-defeating attitudes, and burdens that come along with it. You project an aura of strength which enables you to make choices and take educated risks without fear. Life is trial and error. Not everything we try to accomplish will come our way easily or at all. An empowered individual can deal with the good and the bad while having the inner strength and ambition to change self-destructive behavior patterns while seeing all the possibilities for their life. I particularly look for spreads that help assist in this.
